Have you ever felt down and gone online to try to find a video to cheer you up? For example, you could have been sad that your friend moved away so you went to find a funny video of puppies to help your mood. Well, did you know that laughing can not only improve your mood, but also improve your health? According to Cleveland Clinic.org, laughing can help you feel less stressed and “‘disarms your nervous system’” (par. 16). Another health benefit is your body brings in large amounts of oxygen, aiding in heart rate regulation and allowing you to think more clearly (par. 21-22). Laughing can even decrease some stress hormones! So, laughing can not only make you feel better mentally, but can also help your heart and body systems!
