As time goes on, more and more people are becoming vegan or vegetarian and more plant-based products are coming out. Traditional meat is becoming controversial due to its environmental and ethical implications. But meat itself may not be beyond salvation. Recently, lab grown meat has been deemed safe for people by the FDA. You may be wondering, how is lab grown meat produced? According to NYTimes.com, “In a process often compared to brewing beer, animal cells are grown in a controlled environment, creating a product that is biologically identical to conventional meat” (par. 5). This could be big news for people, because this meat is considered a more sustainable option (par. 12). What do you think about lab grown meat? Would you try some?
