Fact of the Day: 18/01/2023

There are many well-known astronauts and scientists that have been around for a long time, but have you ever heard of a young woman named Tiera Fletcher? She grew up in a small town in Georgia and has loved space engineering from a very young age. According to EngineerGirl.com, “Tiera graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering in June 2017” (par. 2). While she was studying there, she took part in many other side projects, such as NASA’s Space Launch System. Now, she is a full-time employee at the Boeing Company working on that same project. Fletcher helps encourage young students to pursue careers and STEM, and continues to inspire others everyday.
