Fact of the Day: 22/02/2021
Would you like to hear a story of an act of hatred that grew into one of love and acceptance, all because of art? In 2017, on Good Friday, an unknown person locked a cross to a fence on Gay Street (in NYC) as an act of resentment toward to gay community. Three days later, the cross was moved to the gate of Micah Latter. However, Micah and the gay community showed that nothing can come in the way of love as they gathered friends and neighbors to help paint the cross in rainbow colors. They then superglued it to the gate as a sign of strength and perseverance. Art can make a difference to so many people in so many ways. How will you use art to spread love and kindness?
