How can you create beautiful art with acrylic paint dripping? Acrylic paint dripping creates swirls of vibrant color on a canvas using a fairly simple process. In order to drip, you must first acquire the correct materials, particularly acrylic dripping paint or an acrylic medium to dilute regular acrylic paint with. If you are unable to purchase a medium, water would work fine, though the results aren’t nearly as desirable. Once you’ve got your paint, choose a few colors that would complement each other and squeeze a bit of each on top of each other layered on the canvas. Now quick! You must spread the paint out by tilting the canvas or blowing it with a hair dryer before the paint begins to harden. Once the paint has spread desirably, you can create cells by torching it lightly with fire (be careful, and if you are underage, have an adult around for this). Wait for the paint to dry completely and your unique work of art is complete! This is just one very basic style of acrylic paint dripping and there are many more ways to manipulate the paint, so I beseech you to go and explore some more techniques!
