Did you know there’s an art style that is essentially based on dots?

Pointillism, or puntinismo (poon-tee-NEES-moh) in Italian, is the technique of painting small brush strokes or dots on a surface so that they form a picture when viewed from a distance. Georges Seurat is considered the pioneer of this technique. Try searching for one of his paintings, such as A Sunday On La Grande Jatte—1884, to see pointillism in action!
