Fact of the Day: 12/10/2021
We’ve all seen the “www” that precedes website URLs. But do you know what it stands for?
WWW is an acronym for the World Wide Web, which may also be referred to as “the Web.” The Web is a section of the Internet, contained within the gigantic network, in which all websites and webpages are stored. So when we type in “www” in front of a URL, we’re telling our computer to retrieve a webpage from the World Wide Web.
