Fact of the Day: 09/11/2021

Would you believe me if I told you that there was a way to draw with accuracy without using a ruler? Probably not, but this statement is true. Using a compass (the drawing tool, not the navigation tool), pencil, and a straight edge, you can draw geometrical shapes with accuracy. When we use the compass and combine constructions—any shape or line that’s drawn with a compass, pencil, and straight edge—we can create many accurate designs. It is super cool to be able to draw with accuracy without having to use tools with measurements on them. Go online and search for a few constructions and see if you can draw them using a compass, straight edge, and pencil.
