Have you read Winnie the Pooh, by A. A. Milne? If you haven’t, it’s a children’s story of the adventures of a honey-loving bear, Winnie, and his friends. Did you know today is A. A. Milne’s birthday and National Winnie the Pooh Day? To celebrate, here a few fun facts on Winnie the Pooh:

• “The character of Christopher Robin was inspired by A. A. Milne’s son, Christopher Robin Milne​” (par. 12)
• Christopher Robin’s stuffed animals inspired the characters of Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger, and Roo (par. 13).
