Umbrellas are very useful. They help protect us from getting wet when it is raining and they are portable and convenient. Have you ever wondered who developed this wonderful invention? According to National Today, in 1928, Hans Haupt created the portable umbrella (“National Umbrella Day” par. 3). There were umbrellas before his invention, but he was the first to make the umbrella truly portable.
