Have you ever seen the Taj Mahal, or have you ever wanted to go see it? As you look at the building (or pictures of it), do you wonder about the history behind it? The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan, the 5th Mughal emperor, as a memorial forhis 3rd and most favored wife, Muslim Princess Mumtaz Mahal (“The Taj Mahal Story” par. 9).
