Agriculture has advanced over the millennia. People used to plant seeds and water crops by hand, and rely on an intuitive understanding of weather patterns, but modern technology has now helped make farming more efficient and deterministic. What are some technologies used in agriculture? According to the World Economic Forum, “​​In precision agriculture, real-time weather forecasting helps farmers with day-to-day decisions on when and how much to irrigate, fertilize and apply pesticides to their crops” (Lim par. 9). Furthermore, farmers now have access to some greenhouses that are entirely automated (par. 10). What other technologies used in agriculture do you know, and how helpful do you think they are?
