Would you like to practice something that helps you stay calm while still exercising your body? If so, consider trying yoga. What is yoga? According to the New York Times, “Yoga . . .  [is] a set of specific exercises, called poses, combined with specific breathing techniques and meditation principles” (“What is yoga” par. 1). There is more than one way to do a pose, which makes yoga doable for everyone. In addition, you don’t need any fancy equipment to do it; you could use things like chairs, blankets, pillows and yoga mats. Yoga is very beneficial. It can help you  strengthen your back and bones, relieve pain, improve your balance, and keep your mind sharp and healthy (“What is yoga” par. 5). And the best part is that it doesn’t have to take much time—you can even do it during your breaks between lessons. You might be surprised by how calm and refreshed you’ll feel afterwards.
