Fact of the Day: 16/12/2022

Albert Einstein was a revolutionary physicist who changed the way we think about science now. He was born in Germany in 1879 to a middle class family. He became very interested in  science and geometry at a young age. He also had a tutor, Max Talmud, who helped inform him on higher-level subjects like philosophy (par. 1-5). As an adult, Einstein wrote papers, but at first was mostly ignored. Luckily, he was noticed by the founder of quantum theory, Max Planck. From there, he got invited to many lectures and his fame quickly grew (par. 18-19). The theory of relativity consumed his mind, and he worked on this idea for many years. One of his more controversial discoveries was E = mc2, which later led to the discovery of the atomic bomb. Albert Einstein died on April 18, 1955, but his discoveries still impact us today.
