Fact of the Day: 22/04/2022

Earth has many amazing characteristics, such as the ozone layer and gravity. It also has mysteries that have not quite been explained definitively. One such mystery is the Bermuda Triangle. What is it? According to NOAA, “The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean in which ships, planes, and people are alleged to have mysteriously vanished” (“What is the Bermuda Triangle?” par. 1). Some people think vehicles disappear because of supernatural events or forces; however, NOAA points to environmental events, such as changes in weather, dangerous storms, and shallow water zones, to explain the vanishings (par. 3–4). Did you know about the Bermuda Triangle? What do you think is the true cause behind the “mysterious disappearances” of ships and planes in this area?
