Fact of the Day: 25/04/2022

We have likely all been to a restaurant at least once, whether we live in a big city or a small town. Have you ever wondered who established the first restaurant? According to Britannica, “The first restaurant proprietor is believed to have been one A. Boulanger, a soup vendor, who opened his business in Paris in 1765. The sign above his door advertised restoratives, or restaurants, referring to the soups and broths available within” (Lang par. 2). Do you think the creation of the restaurant was a good thing?
