Have you been to an opera? If you haven’t, it is  like a theater performance except the story is conveyed through singing and dancing. What is considered the first opera? Opera North.co explains, “The first opera can be traced back to Italy at the start of the 17th century. Its roots probably lay in several sources, including a fascination with what Ancient Greek drama may have looked – and sounded – like, and from already existing theatrical entertainments…” (“A Brief History of Opera” par. 2). The earliest opera known is probably Jacopo Peri’s Euridice, created in 1600  (“A Brief History of Opera” par. 3). Do you enjoy opera?
