How do we know about the electromagnetic spectrum if we can’t even see it? The answer is through waves. A radio can transmit sound by transferring waves from one place to another. In a similar way, we can identify most of the electromagnetic spectrum by creating devices (much like radios) that convert these invisible waves into a more visible and observable form. Say, for example, an X-ray machine.
