Fact of the Day: 09/03/2021

What happens inside a black hole? Truly, no one really knows, but there have been some interesting theories. Professor Richard Massey, from the Institute for Computational Cosmology at Durham University, theorizes that the gravity inside a black hole is so great that any person or object inside would immediately get ripped to pieces, and the result would be unformed strands of atoms. Another, more fantastical, theory was expanded from Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity by Nathan Rosen, who proposed the idea of a black hole being a wormhole that leads to another galaxy, another dimension, or even to the end of time itself. Although there is no way for scientists to tangibly identify or prove the happenings inside a black hole, it doesn’t stop them from theorizing, and it shouldn’t stop you. What do you think is inside a black hole?
