Fact of the Day: 15/11/2022

Phones are incredibly useful, versatile, and convenient, but they haven’t always been that way. Some of the first phones were “car phones,” extremely heavy and awkward to use. Car phones were also roughly the size of the computers people use now. Later, in the early 80’s, a phone called the Motorola DynaTAC 8000x became more popular and was considered to be one of the first completely mobile phones (par. 1). As time went on, phones began to change style and purpose, becoming smaller and easier to use. They started sporting longer battery life and coming at  slightly cheaper prices. According to the Art Institute.edu, “The earliest smartphones let users access email, and use the phone as a fax machine, pager, and address book.” Now, most people use their phones for social media, games, and many other things. Cell phones have evolved a great deal over time. Do you think the phone will continue to change, and if so, how?
