Fact of the Day: 01/06/2022
We need trees for many things, including oxygen. We also need trees to absorb CO2 to help keep the environment from overheating. On average, how many trees are planted per day? According to Ben Mclnerney, 5,200,000 trees are planted each day (McInerney par. 5). However, at the same time, 41-42 million trees are cut down each and every day (“Mapping tree density at a global scale” par. 1). Without trees, we wouldn’t be able to survive, so we all need to be more proactive in helping grow tree populations. How can you help? Can you plant an extra tree this summer?
