Fact of the Day: 06/10/2021
How many stars are in the Milky Way galaxy?
This question is not very straightforward to answer because of the methods we use to calculate the number of stars in a galaxy. As such, there are currently no exact answers, and the approximations we have may vary greatly. However, the European Space Agency (ESA) estimates that there are around 100 billion stars in our galaxy alone. That’s a lot of stars!
