Fact of the Day: 08/12/2021

We use many websites on a daily basis, like the STEAM Club website to read facts, or the Connexus website to attend school. Do you know what the first website ever created was? According to NPR, “The first website contained information about the World Wide Web Project. It was launched at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, CERN” (Fischels par. 3) British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee created the first website ever made (par. 3). This is the link to the website: http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html.

Would you like to learn the basics of creating a website? Check out the Hour of Code Live Lesson Session today, December 8th, 2021, at 3:30 PM EST in Ms. Jones’ LL room (Link: https://www.connexus.com/liveLesson/liveLesson.aspx?teacherId=344779).
