Fact of the Day: 09/03/2022

Egypt is most famous for its ancient monuments, including the great pyramids and the Sphinx. Who constructed the Sphinx? According to brittanica.com, there is some debate regarding who is actually responsible for it. Some say Khafre built it during the 4th dynasty; others believe Redjedef, his older brother, built it “to commemorate their father, Khufu;” and still others speculate Khufu was the one who built it (Tikkanen par. 3). Regardless of whichever family member built this amazing landmark, the Sphinx remains a symbol of Egyptian culture.
