What Is Mathathon?

Mathathon is a STEAM Club native event dedicated to solving math problems! Over the course of 3 hours, we will solve problems covering algebra (1 & 2), geometry and trigonometry, and precalculus.

Why Come?

Mathathon is a great place to get extra practice solving problems, learn about math concepts that might be new to you, and get some review for any math end-of-semester exams! You can also bring your own problems and share them for the chance to solve them live in the event.

So, whether you’re a math lover who enjoys solving problems just for fun or someone who wants some extra math support, Mathathon is the event for you 🙂

Mathathon Itinerary

Mathathon will start at 10 AM ET. The following breakdown shows the projected times of each section. Feel free to hop into the segment that most pertains to you—or attend the whole thing!

How to Join

Prizes? Yes!

There are three categories of prizes:

  1. Participation badges. If you show up and participate in solving at least 2 problems, then you’ll get a participation badge at the end!
  2. Section certificates. If you stay through an entire section (algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, precalculus), then you get a section certificate.
  3. Master certificate. If you succeed in completing the whole Mathathon from start to finish, you get a master certificate, the ultimate Mathathon award, with your name on it 🙂

To earn a prize, you will need to fill out the workbook with the problems you solve and submit it in the Mathathon form, which will go live on the day of the event.
